Interestingly, the S.V.A. had The Shangri-Las lead singer Mary Weiss as its very special guest for the SVA's annual conference and Stonewall reunion ten years ago in 2007!  FYI, pretty Mary started singing so young that she is still lovely and even with this birthday is still only in her 60's!  Several of The Shangri-las's songs are in the original "Stonewall" movie from 1996.  All their songs were chosen by the film's Stonewall consultant, the SVA's diligent director Willson L.H.  For Mary, let's "Give Her Our Blessings"!

Henry David, Rusty Rose, Princess Tiffany, Franco Mauceri, and Nance Lomax plus the Gay driver and car owner Tim Gorman.  Stonewall vets not shown but in that car are Hally Weiner in the middle of the front seat, Toni Viera in the back seat left (you see his pink shirt) and Leigh McManus in the best seat ridin' shotgun!  The big red Pontiac looks grrrrreat!

Sunday, June 25 -- "NEW YORK CITY GAY, LESBIAN, BI & TRANSGENDER PRIDE MARCH & PARADE"

The National STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("SVA") is traditionally participating in the quintessential G.L.B.T. Pride event!  On Sunday, June 25th, is the "New York City 48th Annual Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride March & Parade".  The first G.L.B.T. 'march' celebrating the first anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion was the last Sunday in June of 1970!  The only openly-Gay cleric in that march was Stonewall veteran and now Bishop Robert J. Clement.  He will be re-joining the S.V.A. for this parade!  The annual Gay Pride march and parade (it is both; 'two mints in one') is always 'the last Sunday in June'!  Remember the play by that name? The SVA's famous blue 1969 classic Cadillac convertible, the ultimate American automotive symbol of the late 1960s, the Stonewall Era, and 'the jewel of the parade', will lead the diverse 400-plus groups, fascinating 100-plus floats, dozens of bands and dance groups and prominent individuals such as NYS Governor Andrew M. Cuomo (S.V.A. Honorary Member), U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn J. Maloney (S.V.A. Honorary Chairperson), U.S. Senator Charles ESchumer, Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer, NYS Justices Doris Ling-Cohan and Paul G. Feinman, NYS Senator Marisol Alcantara, NYS Assemblymember Carmen De La Rosa, NYC Councilman Dan Garodnick, NYC Councilwoman Helen Rosenthal, and openly-Gay public officials such as Councilman Carlos V. Menchaca, et al.  In addition is the Independence candidate for NYC mayor, the honorable Paul John Massey, Jr., the SVA's honorary male guest in the parade!  The SVA's honorary female guest is the aforementioned Congresswoman "Carolina"!  The eye-candy "S/W Car" is owned, operated, insured, maintained and garaged by the S.V.A.  Following the "Stonewall Car" is a flotilla of classic convertibles to royally transport more than a dozen actual "Stonewall veterans".  Besides the 1969 blue Cadillac DeVille, the other three convertibles are a green 1988 Mercedes-Benz Roadster, a red 1975 Pontiac Grand Ville and a gold 1969 Oldsmobile '98'!  These classic convertibles are provided via individual Gay members of the Lambda Car Club of Long Island.  The S/W veterans include:  S.V.A. Director Williamson Henderson (from New York City), 'Papa' Jean Devente (from Connecticut), Bishop Robert M. Clemente (from California), Henri David (from Pennsylvania), Patti Rene Stone (from Florida), Leigh P. McManus (from Long Island), Jitterz Greenfield (from New Jersey), Rusti Rose (from Long Isle), Robert A. Spiegel (from Washington, DC), Nance Lomax (from Philadelphia), Carl Keller, Jr. (from Connecticut), and from New York City:  Jeremiah Jay Newton, Joan "JC" Sobel, Bert CoffmanRose JordanKeith Lonesome and Jack Rojas (with vintage Gay Rights sign).  There is a "Heritage of Pride Honorees" float following the S.V.A. contingency, which will also have a few S.V.A. vets on board!  This tremendous march and parade -- the largest and longest in the World -- is produced by the incredibly hard-working, seasoned volunteers of the non-profit Heritage of Pride ("HOP").  The Gay march and parade route is down the 'Queen of Avenues', Fifth Avenue, and then the 'gayest street in the world', Christopher Street!  It ends just before the Baby Jane Hudson River!  Parade line-up for the S.V.A. and the four convertibles is between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue on East 41st Street @ 11 a.m.  The  march / parade kicks-off on Fifth Avenue on 39th Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York @ high noon!  See: www.NYCPride.org .

Parade Attire:  For all of those marching or riding with the S.V.A. contingency at the front of the parade, please dress nicely -- your Sunday best -- with the S.V.A., the "Leaders Of The Pack" (a Stonewall song by The Shangri-Las)!  For shirts, blouses and tops, please choose a festive color of the "Over The Rainbow" or a combination of rainbow colors -- or pink!  Things not to wear are shorts, undershirts, cut-offs and back-packs and, where possible, avoid sneakers!  You don't want to look like some of the asocial trolls that are on bad display.  To quote another Judy Garland movie title, think more "Easter Parade"!

See the NYC Gay Pride Parade televised 'live' on ABC-TV, channel 7, in New York Quad-State area!

"Stonewall Sunday Supper":  Several Stonewall veterans, a few S.V.A. Boardmembers and several S.V.A. Executive Committee members will be having a special dinner and drinks at RossoPomoDoro Restaurant at 118 Greenwich Avenue at West 13th Street in Greenwich Village, N.Y. immediately after the parade!

Friday, June 23 -- NEW YORK CITY "PRIDE GUIDE" SALUTES KING STORME & QUEEN ALLYSON

Saturday, June 17th, 2017 -- S.V.A. PRESENTS:  "NATIONAL STONEWALL REBELLION VETERANS' ASSOCIATION's 48th ANNUAL CONFERENCE & STONEWALL VETS REUNION" with NEW YORK PUBLIC OFFICIALS, G.L.B.T. REPRESENTATIVES and OTHER GUEST SPEAKERS and ENTERTAINMENT by SANDY RAPP and THE CAKE plus "SONGS OF THE ORIGINAL STONEWALL CLUB" MUSIC with GORMET FOODS at the NEW YORK LESBIAN, GAY, BI & TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY CENTER in MANHATTAN, NYC

The National STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("S.V.A.") presents the historic and legendary organization's "SVA's 48th Annual Conference & Stonewall Veterans' Reunion".  Because of their out-of-state locations, many of the Stonewall veterans are only seen yearly.  We urge them to attend!  It is unequivocably a significant, informative, unique and interesting event for the Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender ("G.L.B.T.") community and way beyond.  So many people pretend that they know so much about "Stonewall".  They don't!  'Come see about us' to find out!  This year's conference host is SVA's creative founder and energetic director Williamson Henderson ("WLH").  Having an entirely Gay leader life from youth to adulthood for a half-century, he has the facts and the flair.  As a forty-six year member of the Screen Actors Guild, WLH has the talent -- and the flair!  Previous S.V.A. conference hosts include:  NYC Mayor Ed Koch, U.S. Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro, NYS attorney general nominee and NYC judge Karen S. Burstein, S.V.A. chief Williamson Henderson (several times), transgenderist Storme DeLarverie, Imperial Queen Allyson Allante, Gay historian Martin Duberman, New York University film liaison Jeremiah Jay Newton, Gay activist Liz J. Abzug, news editor-in-chief Morgan Pehme, Zappalorti Society president Bert Coffman, and AIDS activist Terri Van Dyke among many other prominent persons.

The SVA's office manager and event mangaer AnDre Christie generates the story-format introduction.  Reverend Mark E. Erson of St. John's Lutheran Church in Greenwich Village delivers the relevant and timely 'Invocation', again, this year.

U.S. Congresswoman Carolyn J. "Carolina" Maloney is this year's female keynote speaker.  The male keynote speaker is the honorable Paul J. Massey, Jr., the New York City mayoral Independence nominee.
U.S. Congressmembers speaking besides Carolina are Yvette Diane ClarkeNydia Maya Velazquez and Dan M. Donovan.  Representing the Borough of Manhattan is its president Gale A. Brewer.  The first New York State Senator to confirm is Marisol I. Alcantara.  The first NYS Assembly Member to confirm is Carmen de la Rosa.  The first NYC Councilmember to confirm is Mark D. Levine.  Of the non-governmental speakers, the Stonewall veterans are proud to have all three of our favorite, renowned civil rights attorneys:  Norman H. Siegel, Esq., Arthur Z. Schwartz, Esq., and Hal M. Weiner, Esq.  For your 411, Norman was the SVA's choice for New York City Public Advocate in 2009, the S.V.A. was the first group Arthur spoke to after he launched his campaign for NYS Assembly last year, and Hally is the original legal counsel for the S.V.A. as of 1969, and in the 1970s he was also the corporate attorney for the Gay Activists Alliance ("GAA").  The GAA ended in 1977; nearly fifty years later, the S.V.A. is still headlining and advancing the G.L.B.T. communities and their people!

Special Feature:  The STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans Association will be showing entertaining and informative film clips of the powerful Gay-based movie "STONEWALL!", produced and directed by the exceedingly-talented and wonderful guy Roland Emmerich.  The great fifteen minute finale of the exciting film, including a literally kick-ass re-enactment of the Stonewall rebellion, shall be shown as the finale of the S.V.A. conference!  Special credits and thanks to Centropolis Entertainment!

Another special feature of this S.V.A. event is the presenting of the "STONEWALL Lifetime Achievement Award"!  Unlike most other organizations, particularly the merry-go-round G.L.B.T. groups, and, worse yet, the dubious NYC Gayragpaper, the S.V.A. actually honors someone who really deserves an award, not a paid employee (with endless paid benefits) of some company, agency or group, who only did what they were paid to do and nothing more!  Information tables for S.V.A. sponsors such as T/D Bank are on the main floor.  On display outside the Center will be the SVA's famous 1969 Cadillac convertible.

The S.V.A. conference ignites the "Ten Days of Gay Pride"!  Although many GLBT groups have abandoned meeting at the Gay Center for varied reasons, the loyal-to-the-Gay community S.V.A. holds its annual conference and reunion at the New York City LGBT Community Center in the Assembly Hall on the main floor located at 208 West 13th Street, between Greenwich Avenue and Seventh Avenue, in Greenwich Village, NYC.  Foods are provided.  Media cover the event.
Suggested admission:  $10 to $100.  For more 411 on the S.V.A., its officials, its members, its supporters and its sponsors, please visit:  www.StonewallVets.org .

S.V.A. Disclaimer:  Creepz that you shall not see at the S.V.A. Conference include, but are not limited to, the following personal attackers, haters, liars and/or out-and-out Corey-ish corrupt:  The Natler (and his lying staffers), Danny O'Dell, Brat Hoylman (two faces from West Virginia), The Schlub (nort comptrolling SVA), Danny X. Dumm, The Glickster, David 'Creepy' Carter (from the Backwoods of Georgia), Alun '86' Ratzkov, Dork McCall (also from un-progresssive Georgia),
Horey 'Colonoscopy' Johnson (from a low-income section in Massachusetts)
, or anything/anyone from the NYC "Liars-Are-Us" Gayragpaper!  Queerly, 9 out of 11 of the afore-dished are Gay!

Plan Ahead (God willing):  Next year's "49th Annual S.V.A. Conference & Reunion" is on Saturday, June 30th, 2018!

Saturday, March 25 -- S.V.A. MONTHLY MEETING at NEW YORK LGBT CENTER in MANHATTAN, NY

With the "Ides of March" behind us ten days ago (no one died), the S.V.A. has just three months before its annual S.V.A. conference and the Gay Pride parade.  Those are the chief topics and planning on deck.  In connection with the latter topic, the SVA's guests this month are appropriately officials from Heritage of Pride ("HOP").  Several of the HOP committee chairpersons are participating, including for the community, the rally and the march and parade!  The hard-working volunteers from HOP are responsible for the mutiple and mega projects of the annual New York City GLBT Parade (and/or March), Pride Island, the Rally, the Pridefest and the Dance-on-the-Pier, among many other Gay events.  Williamson Henderson moderates the interesting get-together with assistance from other Stonewall veterans.  Berti Coffman updates on public officials who S.V.A. has met with in the past month.  Plenty!  Steven Gradman presents the planned meetings between electeds and S.V.A.publicgives the new infor   Ruthybird provides the correspondence from public officials such as Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer and GLBT groups such as the Human Rights Campaign.  Mendy Seltza updates on the local, lying and libelous out-of-control Manhattan Community Bored #2.  (Update:  This time the liars are getting sued in court where they will have to shut their lying mouths!  The S.V.A. shall not be judged by liars and losers!)  AnDre Christie greets members and guests at the door.  (He was also at the C/B-2 debacle the other eve and described them as 'crazy behavior nasties'.)  Light foods are dished!  Meeting kicks-off @ 4:15 p.m.

Thursday, March 23 -- S.V.A. SPEAKS PUBLICLY at MANHATTAN DISS-UNITY BORED '#2'

The STONEWALL Veterans Association reps wasted their time, once again, by participating in the monthly Manhattan Community Bored #2 public session @ 6 p.m.  A measly and moronic one hundred seconds is an inadequte time to explain all of the work that the S.V.A. did and does and all the while refute point-by point the false 'decision' regarding the S.V.A. annual streetfair.  After said 100 seconds, a buzzer goes off and you are rudely interrupted.  The current Bored chair Terri Grodner Crude is the worst ever, second only to Brat "Stealing Stonewall Site" Hoylman.  For the local community board head to be an out-and-out, bold-faced liar against a non-profit organization is repugnant!  Who in NYC government oversees this group?  Fortunately, there is a United States venue where you can finish your evidence, thoughts and facts at a hearing and Manhattan CB-2 will be told to stop interrupting and shut-up:  Court!
Notice:  In a diss-tribute to the disrespectful and lying Manhattan Diss-unity Bored #2 (appropriate number), the S.V.A. is hereby suspending its longstanding and unique "Stonewall Educational Program" for students, teachers and educational administrators, et al.  Said programs, provideed free by the S.V.A., about the Stonewall Era and the Stonewall Rebellion, including interviews with Stonewall vets and materials about the Stonewall everything, shall be suspended until Manhattan CB-2 explains their misinformation and stops their lies!  CB-2 operates, in part, like a psychoanalysis center and act-out behavior lab.

This is the traditionally annual meeting between the STONEWALL Veterans' Association and the Manhattan Borough President.  The tradition started with MBP Percy Sutton and continues through MBP Gale A. Brewer.......

Sunday, March 5 -- HOLLYWOOD DREAM:  MOVIE ABOUT JOAN CEAWFORD and BETTE DAVIS

Bette Davis and Joan Crawford -- along with other Hollywood queens Judy Garland, Lana Turner, Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe -- were the biggest female movie stars and the favorite Gay icons wayyyy before the Stonewall Era and long afterwards!  After nearly six decades, a movie for television focuses on the complex and exhilarating relationship of real superstars Joan "Mildred Pierce" Crawford and Bette "All About Eve" Davis!  The "Feud: Betty And Joan" is primarily targeted to the two aging stars around 1960, both needing a new hit movie and both surprisingly signing on to the psychological thriller and ulta 'camp' movie "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?" (1962) starring Bette and Joan.  The film was a big hit!  Both stars were revitalized!  Their roles have been cleverly reinacted by drag queens worldwide.  At the STONEWALL Club, since it had to be regarded as a 'private club', it had a guest book for all entrees.  Two of the most popular names were Joan Crawford and Bette Davis!  Part one of the highly-rated, eight-part mini-series -- every Sunday night @ 10 p.m. for eight weeks -- premieres tonight @ 10 p.m. on channel F/X.  "Fasten your seat belts, it's gonna be a bumpy night"!
