Updates and 411:  Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS ("BC/EFA") raises funds and provides other assistance for AIDS-related causes throughout the United States and, now in recent years, at many other places in the World.  Since its founding nearly a quarter-of-a-century ago in 1988, BC/EFA has raised over two hundred million dollars ($200,000,000) for critically-needed services and so much more for people with AIDS, HIV-related illnesses, HIV itself and numerous other serious illnesses and conditions!  Join with the national theatre, performing arts and dance communities in supporting BC/EFA.

"Gypsy-of-the-Year"

Gypsy of The Year Poster

Cited as "...possibly the season's most dazzling talent show", the Gypsy-of-the-Year Competition features New York's most talented "gypsies" (chorus members from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows) in a competitive variety show.  The event is the culmination of weeks of fund-raising during which shows on and Off-Broadway -- including national tours -- engage in a fiercely friendly competition to see which show can raise the most money for BC/EFA.  Awards are presented to the shows raising the most money and the shows giving the most impressive 'live' performances.
