STONEWALL Veterans' Association

New York Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender
Business Expo & Entertainment Festival

Gaycott!!!!

The STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("S.R.V.A.") had to conduct legal action
in New York City Commercial Claims Court against the RDP Group for ad monies owing!
The civil court case involved the RDP's long failure to pay advertising costs to the S.R.V.A.
Many officials of the S.R.V.A. spoke with various RDP staffers for months on end in an
attempt to collect the duly owed payments.  The RDP Group was advised that legal action
would be taken; however, they mistakingly thought that the S.R.V.A. was bluffing!  It was
unexpected due to the longtime advertising on the popular S.V.A. website.  But, this expo's
attendance was clearly slipping year after year.  The S.R.V.A. had been cautioned about RDP
due to the many nasty instances of anti-Gay comments and Gay slurs by the hothead owner.
Nonetheless, this was a new low by the RDP:  screw the legendary -- and non-profit --
legendary Stonewall veterans out of money!

Meanwhile, the non-Gay RDP Group's expo benefitted from attendees, advertisers, publicity
and sponsors for the non-paid advertising on the S.R.V.A. website.  It also included thousands
of mailings and an active link to the RDP/Gay Business Expo website.  Many more details
and evidence followed in the Court hearing by a New York City Civil Court judge!

In Court, Round 1, the extremely nervous, leg-shaking defendant, a.k.a. RDP Group owner,
perjured himself with one lie after another.  He even lied about the name of the expo!  Wtf?

Yes, this is the same non-Gay owned and greedily operated expo that two years ago, to
the outrage of visitors, had a disrespectful and gruesome display of 'open' caskets!  Hey,
that's real "Gay" and happy expo and so fun -- especially in the Gay age of AIDS!  You
can imagine how many Gay people never returned just because of that disrespectul stunt!

 =====advisory=====
Do not participate in the next, if any, RDP expo or to any of their assigns or any future
purchasers!  There's nothing anymore that is really authentic "G.L.B.T." about it!

2010

NYC Gay Business Expo #17

(Note:  No opening ceremonies again this year!)

Saturday, March 20, 2010 -- 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sunday, March 21, 2010 -- 12 noon to 6 p.m.

The STONEWALL Veterans' Association was attempting to negotiate arrangements for the annual S.V.A. presence at the New York City G.L.B.T. Expo and the classic and famous 1969 convertible known as the "Stonewall Car" to be on display to kick-off year of "Stonewall 41" here in our hometown Manhattan where the SVA-ers started it all!

S.V.A. Executive Committee Decision:  A unanimity of the E/C has decided that for various factors -- notably the advertising fees that the RDP Group benefitted from and owes the S.V.A. -- that the S.V.A. will not participate in 2010 at the NYC Gay Biz Expo and, thus, the "Stonewall Car" will not be on display.  They could care less!  We are providing this notice simply to avoid attendees expecting to meet Stonewall veterans as in years gone by, interviews with SVA-ers or photo ops with the famous "S/W-Car" not to be disappointed.  We suggest you follow suit, show Gay unity and do not partake.
