Friday, December 25  -- CHRISTMAS DAY (INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY)

Tuesday, December 22 -- STONEWALL SONGSTRESS RONNIE SPECTOR'S CHRISTMAS SHOW

This year, for a change of venue, Ronnie Spector's "Best Christmas Show Ever" will be at the New York City Winery Club.  Her popular (then and now) rock 'n' soul Christmas songs are "Sleigh Ride", "Frosty The Snowman" and "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus", all originally, spectacularly, produced by Phil Spector and backed by the incredible Wall-of-Sound orchestra.  Ronnie, of course, will also perform her top dozen hit records from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s including the highlights "Be My Baby", "Baby, I Love U", "Do I Love U" and "Walking In The Rain".  SVA will be happily represented by its chairman Williamson Henderson, public relationist Bruce A. Poli, and office manager AnDre Christie among others.  Miss Ronnie, then the lead singer of the fabulous Ronettes, was the runner-up most popular Christmas song singer at the old Stonewall!  And, you won't read that NYC Gay history 411 in the Gayragpaper.  They would not know.  Period!  To hear Ronnie's Christmas songs on the radio currently, tune into 106.7 FM!

Sunday, December 20 -- STONEWALL SONGSTRESS DARLENE LOVE'S CHRISTMAS CONCERT

As her annual tradition for many years, Darlene Love will be at B.B. King's Nightclub for her popular Christmas concert!  Darlene's four big holiday hits in The Stonewall Jukebox were and most everywhere now are "White Christmas", "It's A Marshmallow World", "Winter Wonderland" and the rollicking "Christmas, Baby, Please Come Home"!  You will not read it in the NYC Gayragpaper but Miss Love was the ultimate Christmas song singer at the original Stonewall Club!  How would they know?  The three un-wise creeps are not from this state and the current owners are... errr... heterosexuals!  (Kinda weird for an allegedly Gay paper.  When you go to a Chinese restaurant you expect the owners to be Chinese.)  Darlene will  belt out all her hgit songs including "Today I Met The Boy I'm Gonna Marry" (talk about Gay marriage), "He's A Rebel" (#1), "Wait Til My Bobby Gets Home", "He's Sure The Boy I Love" and "A Fine, Fine Boy".  Williamson Henderson, AnDre Christie, Leigh McManus and Benson Sydnor happily rep the S.V.A.  Doors open for drinks and dinner @ 6 p.m.  Showtime is @ 8 p.m.  To prove that her holiday show is more popular than ever, Darlene has been extended to six different nights including December 23rd and 26th and January 2nd and 16th and February 11th spanning seven weeks!  Darlene is the singing queen of Christmas!

Wednesday, November 18, New York, NY -- "THE STONEWALL VETERANS Return to THE STONEWALL INN

"The Stonewall Veterans Return to The Stonewall Inn" is a super, special, supreme event for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender ("GLBT") community and our non-GLBT friends, supporters and sponsors! The venue is where the S.V.A. members started as an entity:  The STONEWALL Inn.  This significant shindig, appropriately and uniquely sponsored by the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association, is timely with the 46th anniversary year of the Stonewall Rebellion and the U.S. Supreme Court's monumental Marriage Equality law-of-the-land plus the release of the long-awaited and eagerly-anticipated new "STONEWALL" movie about the Stonewall Era and the place where we are having our event! There will be movie posters on display. The multi-faceted and diverse movie is dramatically directed by the openly-Gay Roland Emmerich.  The powerful film culminates with the world-changing uprising!  A producer of the film will be present!  Stonewall veterans confirmed are Williamson Henderson, Nance Lomax, Leigh McManus, Doneva Russell, Bert Coffman, Joan Sobel, David Leong, Patti Stone, Jitterz Greenfield, Mary Twist, et al.  The SVA's supportive keynote speaker is NYS Assemblymember and New York County Democratic Committee Chairman Keith L.T. Wright!  Many NYC public officials have confirmed their attendance.  Do not expect the poisoned-by-his-own-staff Phat Man!  His latest Gay rip-off is to falsely claim 'his' idea for a Stonewall monument.  The S.V.A. started it about a quarter-of-a-century ago!  We have the master plans, the paperwork, the proposals, the sketches, the artwork and the designer!  It has been on public display for years -- including tonight!  The SVA's founder Williamson and the new S.V.A. director Nance are co-hosting the event!  Voting:  S.V.A. members will elect the chairman of the S.V.A.  Original "Songs of The  Stonewall Jukebox" (1966 to 1969) will be played all evening!  Come hear the Stonewall jukebox hit songs of Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Beatles, Barbra Streisand, Marvin Gay, The Shangri-Las, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Beach Boys, Darlene Love, Mick Jagger, The Marvelettes, Michael Jackson & The J-5, Ronnie Spector, Len 'Dovell' Barry, The Angels, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick, Chris Montez, et al.  The "Songs of The Stonewall" is compiled by Williamson & Friends; hand-made "SOTS" compact discs are distributed privately as S.V.A. gifts.  Bruce A. Poli, SVA's public relationist, provides reports on the international "Stonewall 50" vis-a-vis the Heritage of Pride group.  Stacey M. Lentz, co-cordinator for the event, is representing the Stonewall Inn.  SVA's Liaison Mendi Saltza conducts a 'roll call' of how many Gay City Council members are present?  Do you really expect that rolly-polly, self-promoting Danni Dumm, known mostly for his endless fund-raisers promoting his job security yet doesn't pay basic SVA dues!  Where's the pride?  Let's see!  SVA's office manager AnDre Christie and Bronx liaison Joanette Serrano greet guests at the "Stonewall" welcome table.  All attendees are required to sign the SVA's guest book with Youth-for-SVA's Eldon Johnson and/or Duran Wilson.  "The Happening" is from 6 p.m. sharp to 9 p.m. not-so-sharp.  Minimum admission is $10; however, attendees are encouraged to also donate to the non-profit S.V.A.  Pretend it is for ESPA (where they charge $500+ at a fancy hotel for rubber chicken and powdered potatoes)!  The Stonewall is not The Sheraton but this is a fund- besides fun-raiser for the S.V.A.

October 2015 -- GAY HISTORY MONTH

Saturday, September 26 -- STONEWALL REBELLION VETERANS' ASSOCIATION MONTHLY MEETING in NYC

This month's meeting of the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association is gayly in the middle of 'stonewall'! Stonewall! STONEWALL!  The new "STONEWALL" movie premieres and opens nationally this week!  So, as very special guests, the S.V.A. is having a trio of original New York City Police Department ("NYCPD") police officers from the old Sixth Precinct, who worked any of the nights of the historic 1969 Stonewall Uprising!  Their behind-the-blue-wall information is fascinating!  Their testimonies are, unlike much that you read in the Gayragpapers and fancied by wannabes, is factual!  The Stonewall Cops confirmed are:  Frankie and Ritchie and Vinnie (Italian, Jewish and, of course, Irish)!  All three were also present at the famous reunion of the "Stonewall Vets & Stonewall Cops" a decade ago as covered by the media.  Note:  You won't find these guest speakers at the Stonewall Democratic Club (no relation, trust us; they just use our namesake to confuse some people).  Also guesting is Gay screenwriter Jo Esposito, who is working on a cinematic project with the Stonewall Cops!  It will be a continuation of the "STONEWALL" movie but with a different perspective namely that of the police!  Presiding S.V.A. official is Interim Chairman Paul A. Lucre.  Report on the premiere of "STONEWALL!" movie in Hollywood, CA, from attendee Williamson Henderson.  Monthly membership report is presented by SW-vet Donni Russell.  The S.V.A. at FaceBook updates are given by F/B administrator Sanjay Peters.  Updates on the "Songs of The Stonewall" series of C/Ds is sung by Rogers Hunt.  Except for the retired NYCPD-ers, everyone else must check your piece (if you catch our drift) with the S.V.A. office manager AnDre M. Christie.  If one of the haterz shows up, he will use them as target practice!  AnDre also attended all of the Los Angeles "STONEWALL" film premiere festivities.  Super surprise:  One of the key actors in the film is the special "STONEWALL" guest!  The person, who just flew to NYC from the movie premiere in L.A., visits the S.V.A. for a sit-down with S/W vets and their guests.  Except for the NYC Gayragpaper, the legitimate New York City press is invited to attend.  The meeting blasts off @ 4:15 p.m.  Because of the full agenda and exciting speakers, this meeting has been extended to 7 p.m.

Wednesday, September 23 -- NEW "STONEWALL MOVIE PREMIERE in LOS ANGELES, CA

"STONEWALL!" -- Where Pride Began!

"STONEWALL", the new Stonewall movie about the Stonewall Era, the people, the club and the rebellion, premiered in great style in the Silver Screen Theatre at the Pacific Design Center in Hollywood, California!  The movie is directed by Roland Emmerich (pictured above 'to the left').  Originally planned for a premiere in Greenwich Village, New York, where it all ignited -- thanks to real Gay boys and girls not 'men' and 'women' nor 'activists' (as congressman Jerrold 'The Phat Man' Natler always and wrongly describes it and shamefully in public and rudely sometimes in front of actual S/W vetz) -- some confabulators and haters made it impossible for the other companies involved with the film such as marketing, advertising, promotion and distribution affiliates, to feel comfortable with any premiere in New York City!  The crayzees lost NYC a lot of money -- literally, millions!  The crazy potty mouths and topilet tongues ruined it for a lot of people in many ways.  Nonetheless, the grand premiere of "STONEWALL" in Los Angeles was a huge success with a tremendous turn-out!  This movie is "powerful", "illuminating", "action-filled", "emotional" and "unforgettable"!  Go see it!  We did!

Tuesday, September 22 --  STONEWALL BIRTHDAY:  S.V.A. CHAPLAIN REV. MAGORA E. KENNEDY

The National Parks Conservation Association ("NPCA") launches the national drive for a Stonewall monument in front of the landmark The Stonewall Inn.  The STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("S.V.A.") will be present (despite the secretive schemes of "Smarty Pants")!  It is people who made the place famous not the building.  Public officials confirmed to speak include Congresswoman Carolyn J. Maloney, the Honorary Chairperson of the S.V.A., and her chief-of-staff Minna Elias; U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and her special community affairs assistant Ousman Laast; Manhattan Borough President Gale E. Brewer, recently a featured speaker at the annual S.V.A. conference; NYC Public Advocate Letitia James, another S.V.A. supporter; and openly-Gay NYC Councilmember CoJo Johnson -- plus Manhattan Community Board #2's Chairman Toby Berger and Vice-Chair Terry Cude, who also spoke at the S.V.A. conference!  S.V.A. is represented by Stonewall veterans Williamson Henderson, Bert Coffman, Leigh McManus, Bill Salzman and Donni Russell.  This "Stonewall" site would, appropriately, be the first Gay monument in America!  The "Stonewall" press conference ignites @ 2 p.m.

Thursday, August 6 -- MOVIE DIRECTOR ROLAND EMMERICH FULLY DEFENDS "STONEWALL"

Although it should not be necessary, because we're dealing with the dysfunctional GLBTQRS... "community", it is.  The reality is that the new "STONEWALL" movie researched through endless sources in person and in print the Stonewall Era and what it was like at The Stonewall Club.  In his new interview with Queerty Magazine, the film's director Roland Emmerich mentioned such marginal and outrageous, respectively, Stonewall characters as Marsha Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, both of whom had belonged to the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association; the former until she was likely murdered by drowning (1992) and the latter until she was duly expelled for violence, stealing and vulgarities unanimously by the membership (1995).  The 2015 "STONEWALL" film company, as part of their years of research, like the predecessor film company of "Stonewall" (1996), unquestionably went out of their way and to great expense to track down at least a dozen Stonewall veterans across America in interviews to obtain varying and diverse tales of The Stonewall.  It is important to realize  that like any event, particularly an uprising spanning a week, no two stories are the same.  However, accurate tellings share many commonalities.  To read the full interview on the set of Mr. Emmerich's next movie, "Independence Day Forever", see:    www.Queerty.com/Roland-Emmerich-defends-his-version-of-Stonewall-says-it-honors-real-life-Heroes-20150807.

Saturday, August 1, 2015 -- STONEWALL JUKEBOX SONGSTRESS CILLA BLACK DIES @ 72

Songstress Cilla Black, born Priscilla White, is from England.  Cilla's powerful remake of Dionne Warwick's hit "Anyone Who Had A Heart" went to #1 in England.  The Beatles were friends of Cilla's for decades.  Her first single and many others were written by Lennon & McCartney.  One of her other powerful songs, "You're My World" was number one in Europe and charted in America.  It was a huge hit in the Gay bars.  At The Stonewall Club it was frequently acted out.  It's a very dramatic song.  Her version of the Burt Bacharach movie song "(What's It All About) Alfie" was a big hit in Europe.  In America, the song belonged to Dionne Warwick in 1967.  In fact, Cilla's book is entitled "What's It All About?".  In addition to her singing career, Cilla remained in the entertainment industry as an actress and as the host of a few popular British television shows.  Recently, "YMW" was submitted as a possible finale song for the upcoming new "STONEWALL" film.  Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr releasesd separate heartfelt press releases.  Cilla passed at her other home in Spain.  Cilla was a real showbiz icon in the UK and a singing sensation at The Stonewall!  Cilla, here's your tribute song:  "You're Our World"!  See a Cilla album cover photo and her discography at SVA's website at the "Songs of The Stonewall Club" #5 at:  www.STONEWALLvets.org/songsofStonewall-5.htm.

Friday, July 31 -- S.V.A. SUPPER MEETING with CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE @ 6 p.m.

Wednesday, July 29 -- BREAKTHROUGH:  BOY SCOUTS of AMERICA NOW OPEN to GAY LEADERS

New York State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman announced a breakthrough agreement with the Boy Scouts of America ("BSA") to allow openly-Gay leaders!  Like Marriage Equality, this was a concept that no one of the Stonewall Era and beyond thought possible in our lifetime.  This announcement is a watershed moment for the Boy Scouts Of America and Gay people!  The agreement ensures that the BSA provides equal opportunity for GLBT employees nationwide.  The BSA was founded in 1910 and chartered by Congress with the mission of preparing young people to become responsible citizens and leaders.  Historically, the BSA excluded openly-Gay individuals from membership and leadership but this policy changed in May 2013 when the BSA announced that youth (up to age 17) could no longer be denied membership on the basis of sexual orientation alone.  At that time, however, the BSA did not change its adult leadership standard and continued to maintain a nationwide policy that excluded openly-Gay individuals aged eighteen or older.

The civil rights settlement with the Boy Scouts of America is to end its discriminatory policy of excluding openly-Gay adults from serving as leaders in the organization.  As part of the settlement, the BSA has agreed to eliminate the standard nationally, develop guidelines for implementing its new leadership standard, and ensure compliance with anti-discrimination laws going forward.  “Today’s announcement is a watershed moment for the Boy Scouts of America.  The mission of the Boy Scouts is to prepare our nation’s young people to become responsible citizens and leaders and I can think of no better way of doing that than by enabling young people to learn from a diverse group of role models,” said NYS Attorney General Schneiderman.  “I am pleased to see the Boy Scouts of America renew its commitment to equal protection under the law and I look forward to the organization welcoming a new generation of GLBT scout leaders in the months and years ahead.”  The policy change enacted today will lay the framework for a new era of acceptance and equal opportunity for Gay scouts and leaders in the Boy Scout program.

Under the terms of the agreement, the BSA agreed to:  Permanently eliminate the leadership standard excluding openly gay adults, on a nationwide basis; develop guidelines for the implementation of its new leadership standard; designation of an Equal Employment Opportunity Officer; develop a training program for all managerial employees concerning the new leadership standard and its effect upon the recruitment, hiring, and retention of employees in New York; and monitor for complaints concerning violations of its new leadership standard.

Tuesday, July 28 -- S.V.A. TELE-CONFERENCE with a NYC CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE @ 3 p.m.

Monday, July 27 -- 13th ANNIVERSARY:  WILLIAMSON HENDERSON PROUDLY DECALARED THE "GAY ROSA PARKS" of the GLBT COMMUNITY and BEYOND by the CIVIL COURT of the CITY of NEW YORK!

Fourteen years ago, the Civil Court of the City of New York, after several delays and several days of trial spanning several weeks, issued a lengthy and comprehensive decision, court case index number SCNY #2678/2000, which virtually declared that the SVA's Stonewall Rebellion veterans as analagous to the women's movement The Suffragettes and Williamson Henderson, the visible and activist leader of the organization, as "Gay Rosa Parks"!.....  Much more to come!

Now, obviously not having read the decision about their free-lance liar, Lester and Jeni Goodstein aka "Badstein", local creeps in The Village, Lower Manhattan and now swooshed into Brooklyn -- the birthplace of Williamson Henderson -- with their poison pens attempting to belittle accomplishments, ruin careers and undermine organizations have re-enabled a smear campaign!  Obviously, they are haters; very hateful.  Maybe the same will happen to their 'weird' son.  "The Badsteins" are the current enablers of all the lies, slander, lies, libel, lies, intrusion, lies, defamation, lies, manipulations, lies, etc. of the problem liars in the form of Duncan 'Drunken Ozburn' Osbourne.  This is typical scurillousness for them to pull out this premeditated trash as it is Gay Pride season and it is crucial to use the willing resources of Community Media, Inc. to foster the filthe and to cause trouble in the Gay Community and turn Gay happiness into Gay hate!  That's what they do!  Whereas the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("S.V.A.") are builders of the Gay Community for five decades and whose members are among those who created the Gay Pride and have been building the Gay community for over 46 long years in many ways, the haters are destroyers and the discreditors.  Sadly, the self-haters are in every group.  New York City is the capital of the world; this is the ideal place for them to be evil and party poopers if they are so inclined to be consumed with jealously, as they clearly are envious!  The good news is that we are in America not Nigeria.  Thus, "the Badsteins" will be in court, have to take the oath not to lie (ha-ha-ha) under the penalties of perjury, prove that everything they published is without malice and true (which is impossible) and, hopefully, pay all of the penalties including, but not limited to, printing a full-page explanation and apologies and retracting the libel and trash from the internet which can, as it does in this case, act as a sewer!  Stay tuned!

Sunday, July 26 -- STONEWALL SONGSTRESS BIRTHDAY:  DARLENE LOVE

Saturday, July 25 -- STONEWALL V.A. 46th ANNIVERSARY MEETING & PARTY

Every year in July, the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("S.V.A.") meeting is about three main topics:  review the SVA's Gay Pride Month festivities, activities and events such as conferences, ceremonies and parades including all appropriate media namely television, radio, newspapers and magazines -- and this year again the S.V.A. did all four big time -- with a resolution of what to change and how for next year.  (Note:  We stated 'appropriate media' so that excludes the slanderous and scurrilous NYC Gayragpaper published by Jeni Badstein!)  Topic two is the celebration of the enduring SVA's 46th anniversary!  We reflect on the SW-vetz that we lost during the past year.  If we don't care, no one else in the GLBT 'community' would; they're too apathetic.  Topic three is the SVA's next director.  This special meeting and mini-party is hosted by the SVA' s new director who, at press time, is unknown as all of the ballots have not been received.  The number one frequently asked question is Williamson Henderson.  By his own publicly declared decision reiterated for the record over and over at every S.V.A. meeting and elsewhere this year for the record, WLH is not a candidate for S.V.A. director and, therefore, cannot be a nominee.  [Note:  SVA's fiscal year is July 1 to June 30.  S.V.A. balloting deadline for members in good standing was the last day of June.  This year it has been extended two weeks until July 15.]  The new S.V.A. Director will co-chair the transitional meeting.  But who will be he/she?  Attend the meeting and find out!  Guest speakers are local NYC district leaders Jean B. Grillo and John L. Scott from the Lower Manhattan and Tribeca areas.  Mendi Seltza provides the S.V.A. political report.  Most outstanding 'politica' for the year goes to Congresswoman Carolina Maloney who supports the S.V.A. (unlike the Phat Man) and proudly marched with the S.V.A. in the Manhattan GLBT Pride Parade as 'le grande finale' with the eye-catching 1969 "Stonewall Car"!
---
Meeting venue as always -- except when the S.V.A. met at The Victoria Deli Restaurant for a decade (1969-1979), The Stonewall Club for a decade (1997-2007) and Onegin Restaurant for a year (2013) -- is the Manhattan GLBT Community Center promptly @ 4:15 p.m.  Recently, the NYX stated that the S.V.A. began in a deli in the Summer of 1969.  That's true; however, it was a deli-restaurant with ten times more tables and chairs than the NYC Gay Center's cafe!  This Saturday, foods -- and a lot more like Gil-da and the Gayragpaper -- will be dished!  SVA's smilin' greeter is AnDre Christie.  This is a significant meeting for S.V.A. and we encourage members to attend!  The press (except the trashy NYC Gayragpaper) is welcomed.  For more info:  www.STONEWALLvets.org/upcomingevents.htm.

Monday, July 6 -- ORIGINAL STONEWALL JUKEBOX FEATURE

Every year, Gay history and music afficionado Chris Matthew Sciabarra features a song from the original Stonewall Club jukebox as listed in the SVA's "Songs of The Stonewall Club"!  This year the song is "One" by the popular Three Dog Night (TDN) guy rock group.  TDN's songs were frequently very soulful and with a message such as this "One (Is The Loneliest Number)"!  Visit the weblink and see the song performed:  www.NYU.edu/projects/Sciabarra/notablog/SVA/002009.html.

Sunday, July 5 -- REMEMBERING THE STONEWALL REBELLION THAT BIRTHED A MOVEMENT

A retrospective via the testimonials of actual veterans of the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion namely Williamson Henderson, Jeremiah Newton, Leigh McManusPeter S. Fiske and Patti Stone is explored by the national reporting team of The Dallas Voice.  (Some of the original lengthier story is not included in this version for space reasons.  Most of the Stonewall Era photos were provided by PSF of the S.V.A. Executive Committee.)  http://www.DallasVoice.com/Remembering-the-Rebellion-that-Birthed-a-Movement-1019520.html

Saturday, July 4 -- FRIEND-of-SVA BIRTHDAY:  TOM A. VIOLA, BC/EFA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Saturday, July 4th -- AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY and GAY INDEPENDENCE DAY

Everyone knows that American Independence was founded on the 4th of July in 1776!  But barely anyone knows that Gay Independence was founded on the 4th of July in 1969 -- the day after the 5-night Stonewall Uprising completed.  (You won't read that historic 411 in the NYC Gayragpaer.)

Friday, July 3 -- VINTAGE GAY PRIDE PARADE VIDEO DEDICATED to STONEWALL VETERANS

This video shows colorful and exciting clips of marchers in the 44th annual New York City Gay Pride Parade.  The most connecting moments are those of the parade traveling down the narrower streets of West 8th Street and Christopher Street in Greenwich Village.  It is appropriate that they dedicated the Pride video to the STONEWALL Veterans Association.  Most people overlook how Gay Pride started -- by actual people not by Gay aliens or, as its current owners pretend, by the Stonewall club itself.  To view the filming visit:  www.YouTube.com/watch?v=PKh08bSFW_s.

Thursday, July 2, 2015 -- YOUTH-4-SVA SUPPER MEETING and MEET-UP with A-ROD at MORANDI'S

Youth-4-SVA
was having their Stonewall History supper meeting at Morandi's (within walking distance of the GLBT Center).  The S.V.A. sponsors this quarterly educational service.  It's especially significant with the 46th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion.  Youth-4-SVA is always joined by students, high school and college.  Get-together was hosted by S.V.A. founder Williamson Henderson and office manager AnDre Christie.  For authenticity, the ambiguous duo had the 1969 "Stonewall Car" on display right out front!  Ironically, the car colors are blue and white, the same team colors of the N.Y. Yankees....  Out of the 'blue', one of the SVA youths announced:  "Look, here comes A-rod!"

Sunday, June 28 -- NEW YORK CITY 46th ANNUAL GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL and TRANSGENDER PRIDE PARADE

New York City held the first Gay Pride March (1970) and now it organizes and hosts the "NYC 46th Annual Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Parade"!  Stonewall veterans of the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans Association confirmed to march or ride include:  Williamson Henderson ('Leader of the Pack'), Nance Lomax (Philly), David V. Bermudez (MA), Leigh P. McManus (LI), Erica Kay Webster (ME), Robert "Bobby" Spiegel (DC), Mary S. Twist (NJ), Carl J. Keller (CT), Joan 'JC' Sobel (NYC), Keith Lonesome (NYC), Doneca Russell (NY) and Jitterz Greenfield (NJ).  Miss Yvonne Ritter, RN will be celebrating her birthday!  The SVA's special guest is our Honorary Chairperson and Congresswoman Carolyn Jane Maloney.  Walking with CJM's banner are staffers Shelby Garner and Grace Harman plus interns David Leeds, Angela BeamSigourney Hessic and tall John R. Kelly.  Riding 'shotgun' in the "Stonewall Car" is the SVA's longtime legal counsel Hal "Hally" Weiner.  Hally is the legendary civil rights lawyer who actually met Williamson in Criminal Court fighting off the five phony charges from the 1969 Stonewall Uprising.  The Court sympathetically attempted to compromise by WLH just paying a $5 fine.  WLH stood-up and stated:  "I wouldn't pay 5 cents; I didn't do anything wrong!  I did right!"  Naturally, Stonewall veterans will be less again this year due to physical conditions, medical illnesses and deaths.  We even have one who was just committed to a psychiatric hospital (Gracie) and one the S.V.A. unanimously 86'd (Gil-da) who should be!  The famous metallic blue 1969 Cadillac "Stonewall Car" convertible is commandeered by the SVA's handsome, well-built and hot office manager AnDre M. Christie.

To view the "Gay Parade Order of March", see the listings of organizer Heritage of Pride, even though they still do not have our group's four-word name correct despite requests to fix it, at:
www.NYCpride.org/uploads/ParadeOrder
The STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans Association is in the final parade section #12 and the last entry as 'le grand finale' -- like Santa Claus & His Reindeer in the Thanksgiving Parade!  And this year we have a Supreme reason to be extra thankful:  Marriage equality in America!  The S.V.A. parade line-up location is on scenic East 37th Street between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.  The "Stonewall Car" will grandly enter from the East!  The parade is produced by the wonderful volunteers at Heritage of Pride.  For more general GLBT Pride Parade 411, visit: www.NYCpride.org.

*

Advisory for the entire GLBT community and all NYC citizens:  Gilbert Horowitz aka Gilbertina aka Dr. Gil aka Dr. Pill aka Gil Horrowitz aka Gilda Horrorwitz is a horror show!  He/she/it was duly expelled in compliance with the S.V.A. "Bi-Laws" and ASPCA guidelines from the organization on May 30 unanimously by the S.V.A. Executive Committee.  Contrary to Gilda's false accusations and outright lies, it was not by SVA's director Williamson Henderson, who does not even vote unless it is a tie vote!  With Gilda, there was no tie -- it was unanimous:  heave-ho!  Gil-da does not represent the S.V.A., in fact, wannabe Gilda doesn't represent anyone anywhere!  Sneaky Gilda stole the SVA's vehicle parade permit from Heritage of Pride ("HOP").  Gilda refused to return the parade permit to HOP which owns the permit and was duped by Gilda.  In no way does devious Gilda represent the S.V.A.  Nor is Mr. Horrorwitz a "Stonewall vet".  The latter is laughable!  The S.V.A. is the definite authority on who is and who isn't a "Stonewall vet".  The S.V.A. administers the litmus tests.  Nobody else, surely not obnoxious, out-of-control, slanderous, disruptive, libelous Gilda Horror-witz!  He/she/it is 86!

Saturday, June 27th, 2015 -- 46th ANNIVERSARY of the STONEWALL REBELLION in NYC!

On the late Friday night of June 27th, 1969, the New York City police and other law enforcement agencies raided The Stonewall Club on the day of Judy Garland's funeral here in Manhattan, N.Y.  That was not only ill-conceived but diss-respectful considering that "Saint Judy" was the Ultimate Gay icon in 1969!  Unlike their other night raids, this time, many of the patrons acted out the Stonewall jukebox song by Sly & The Family Stone:  "Stand!"  It's now 46 years later since the igniting of the modern Gay Rights movement which culminated this Gay Pride Week in the land-marking of the historic Stonewall site and the winning of marriage equality for all of America!  What happenstancely started at tThe Stonewall Club has been reverberating around the World in the name of Gay Rights for nearly half a century.  The light of Stonewall is promoted and maintained by the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans Association!

Saturday, June 27 -- STONEWALL BIRTHDAY:  YVONNE RITTER, RN, of MANHATTAN, NY

Friday, June 26 -- GLBT COURT ALLIANCE GAY PRIDE:  WILLIAMSON HENDERSON SPEAKS at N.Y.C. SUPREME COURT

From The Supremes at the Stonewall Jukebox to The Supremes in New York City to The Supremes in Washington, D.C.!  All of this and a lot more "Stonewall" shall be covered by S.V.A. Director Williamson Henderson ("WLH") aka Dr. Stonewall, accompanied by his longtime boyfriend of The Bronx!  WLH will highlight the Stonewall Era, the Stonewall Club and the Stonewall Rebellion. The GLBTS Court Alliance, comprised of Gay, Lesbian, Bi and Transgender persons and their straight allies in the court system, including openly-Gay judges, court attorneys, paralegals and support staff, is directed by its hard-working founder Marc S. Levine.  He has tirelessly hosted this event in each of New York City's five boroughs!  Today is The Bronx!  This celebration features S.V.A. public official supporter New York State Senator J. Gustavo Rivera.  The event is in the Bronx County Supreme Court at the corner of the Grand Concourse and 161st Street.  Travelling by subway is nearby via the "B", "D" or #4 at the 161st Street/Yankee Stadium station.  Festivities are called to order @ 1 p.m.

Friday, June 26 -- STONEWALL BIRTHDAY:  R. SONNY CARSON of MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA

Friday, June 26 -- U.S. SUPREME COURT:  MARRIAGE EQUALITY IS the LAW-of-the-LAND

Marriage Equality, also known as Gay Marriage, for all couples whether opposite gender or same gender, is now the equal rights law-of-the-land!  The United States of America was founded on the bedrock principle that everyone is created equal!  This great American civil rights decision for Gay people won by 5 to 4!  This ruling is a huge victory for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender ("GLBT") people and their straight supporters!  Every person is entitled to love, and marry, who they want!  This is an enormous step forward for this country!  Special thanks to Freedom To Marry and its founding president Evan Wolfson!  The lengthy legal battle for Gay marriage is ooooover!  "From the Stonewall Club to the Supreme Court", stated SVA's director Williamson Henderson.  "Notice how, ironically, they both have the same initials 'SC'"!  Now, Heritage of Gay Pride can call the annual 'march' what it is:  parade!   Just like the first night of the Stonewall Rebellion, it happened on a hot Friday!

Thursday, June 25 --  STONEWALL BIRTHDAY:  JOHN WATTS of BROOKLYN

Wednesday, June 24 -- SVA RECEIVES PRAISE LETTER from CONGRESSWOMAN CAROLYN MALONEY

Tuesday, June 23 -- SVA FOUNDER WILLIAMSON HENDERSON INTERVIEWED on NYC TV

Williamson Henderson ("WLH") was requested to do the interview as the television station, WPIX Channel 11 in NYC, wanted an actual Stonewall participant who could provide details from 46 years ago and bridge the gap to the incredible land-mark status today!  They have interviewed WLH over the decades.  To make the background authentic, they interviewed  WLH on Christopher Street in Greenwich Village out in front of the just land-marked... The Stonewall Inn!

Tuesday, June 23 -- THE STONEWALL CLUB IS DECLARED a NYC LANDMARK!

In 1969, no one would have imagined that The Stonewall Club that we put on the map would become a landmark for what we did!  Most people overlook or never knew the reality that the rebellion was started by real Gay people and our friends.  They are represented by the STONEWALL Vets Assn.  The club did not ignite the uprising!  To read one of the articles on this historic occasion of landmarking The Stonewall, see:

Monday, June 22 -- MANHATTAN GLBT CENTER'S ANNUAL "GARDEN PARTY"

Saturday, June 20, 2015 -- EVENT:  "SVA'S 46th ANNUAL CONFERENCE & STONEWALL VETERANS REUNION"

This STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association ("S.V.A.") event is the *one* that tributes most of the people who actually happened to ignite the modern Gay rights movement on a happy and hot Friday night, the 27th, in June of 1969!  To their continued great credit, forty-six years later, the S.V.A. is incredibly still going strong to celebrate that historic milestone with a celebration of the event and a reunion of the participants.  This unique happening is also a public educational service of the S.V.A. providing testimonials from participants in history:  the Stonewall Rebellion of 1969!  The SVA's greatly-appreciated and well-known talent are highlighted by the Stonewall Era singer and songwriter Sandy Rapp, who traditionally opens the S.V.A. conference.  There will be a special tribute to the late, openly-Gay singer and openly-SVA supporter Lesley Gore.  Her #1 songs are "It's My Party" and "U Don't Own Me".  Her Top 5 hits are "Judy's Turn To Cry" and "She's A Fool".  Her favorite Gay community songs are "That's The Way Boys Are" and "Sometimes I Wish I Were A Boy".  Her fave song at The Stonewall Club was appropriately "(Oh, How I Miss) The Old Crowd"!  This S.V.A. event is produced and directed by Williamson Henderson.  The S.V.A. conference is hosted, once again, by the Supremish Miss Tyra Ross and the Latina Lady Appolonia.

One of the endless positive results of the 5-night Stonewall Rebellion, in addition to starting the modern Gay Rights movement and still growing worldwide GLBT Rights and GLBT Pride and now Gay Marriage, was the creation of the STONEWALL Rebellion Veterans' Association.  After the end of the uprising on Thursday, July 3, 1969, the S.V.A. commenced just eight nights later on July 11th in Greenwich Village, New York.  Only the S.V.A. has kept the Stonewall flame burning all these years, all these decades.  The SVA's popular, definitive and unique website receives over 10 million 'verified' visits annually!  The S.V.A. has an accumulated 20-year e-mail list of over 20,000 organized names, references and nicknames.  The postal mailing list of the S.V.A. has been in the thousands for over four decades.  S.V.A. also boasts its "fax factory" of over two thousand fax numbers.  You don't use fax; good.  We do!  Lastly, for now, SVA-ers tell it like it is -- not like it's not!  People who are for real and politically independent appreciate that. To quote a popular b-side Stonewall song by Diana Ross & The Supremes, "There's No Stopping Us Now"!

Even though some self-centered GLBTQRS organizations and/or groups disrespectfully attempt to even hijack the "Stonewall" occasion from the Stonewall veterans, this "S.V.A. Annual Conference & Stonewall Reunion" event is the *one* that really kicks-off "The Ten Days of Gay Pride" (term coined by the SVA's director decades ago)!  Stonewall veterans confirmed to speak include Williamson Henderson, Nance Lomax, Jeremiah Newton, Joan "JC" Sobel, Leigh McManus, Cristina Hayworth, David Bermudez, Bettye Bristol, Jitters GreenfieldRuthybird Campbell, Robert Spiegel, Peter S. Fiske and Carl Keller, Jr.!  Supportive Gay organization leaders will be represented at the podium such as the PRIDE Democrats, Imperial Queens & Kings of Greater New York (IQKNY), Downtown Independent Democrats (DID), Human Rights Campaign (HRC), Village Independent Democrats (VID), Freedom To Marry (FTM),GLBT Political Coalition, Youth-4-SVA, Lambda Independent Democrats (LID), Stonewall Car Club,
